Goring to Chinnor 18 Miles
We walked back into Goring from our B&B to purchase some suntan lotion from the Chemist. The weather had changed for the better. Which ment increa sed water consumption and the walking was more tiring. The first part of the journey was along the Thames. We walked down some private streets with Grand houses. Many had private piers and boats. Outside of the villages were crops of wheat and barley it was easy going with lots to see.
Walking through oil seed rape is hard work. Its bright yellow follows reflect the sunlight and it becomes very hot. They also attract a lot of insects. So its good to keep a steady pace and just plough through it. Take advantage of clumps of trees to recover and get shelter.
Today was a tough day, with the miles taking their toll along with our rucksacks. Next time I would try to carry less weight
